The Draft is finally here after weeks of angst and anticipation, 60 names will be called and dreams will be fulfilled, and although its only a few hours away, here is my Mock Draft with picks 1-30 along with some news and random thoughts along the way, barring any potential deals, which will hopefully give everyone a little more information, and maybe help you make your decision on what players your team should pick.

1. Chicago-- Derrick Rose, PG, Memphis. Age: 19. Class: Freshman. Height: 6'3. Weight: 196.

--Rose looks like the real deal, even though he is only 19, but his size and strength to the basket should help him contribute right away. A natural born leader, who will no doubt benefit playing just miles from his home. The Bulls backcourt already features Kirk Hinrich, who to me is one of the deadliest three point threats in the game, and Ben Gordon, who could be one of the best shooting guards in the league if he can stay consistent, but I think with the addition of Rose the three can compete together, and also make each other better.

2. Miami--Michael Beasley, PF, Kansas State. Age: 19. Class: Freshman. Height: 6'8. Weight: 239.

--This would be my first overall pick, especially if I was Chicago needing a physical force on the block, but Miami gets a steal here, if you could call the second pick of the draft a steal. Beasley will immediately bring a physical presence to an extremely soft Heat frontcourt, but will also take it outside the arc and score from anywhere on the floor. Beasley handles well with both hands, but is a lefty, and simply just doesn't seem to have a weakness. Unless you have some kryptonite.

3. Minnesota--O.J. Mayo, SF, USC. Age: 20. Class: Freshman. Height: 6'4. Weight: 200.

--Minnesota is in a tough spot right now. Mayo would be a good fit because he is a shooting guard in a small forwards body, which helps him bring a complete offensive attack as he can spot up for the three or drive through the lane, but the Wolves don't really need that. UCLA center Kevin Love would be a good fit for the Wolves, and sources say, GM Kevin McHale would love to take Love, but unless a deal happens, the number three slot is a little high to draft the Bruin big man. Mayo is a phenomenal defender, but also carries alot of baggage with him. Ultimately his talent could outweigh the off-court problems with the right guidance.

(Another USC player who took money from an agent, that's where they are professional sports in Hollywood. Truth be told I don't like Ovinton J'Anthony Mayo, but at least his first name isn't Orenthal.)

4. Seattle--Eric Gordon, PG, Indiana. Age: 19. Class: Freshman. Height: 6'4. Weight: 215.

--Word is the Sonics are looking at Stanford center Brook Lopez or Arizona point guard Jerryd Bayless, but I think Gordon, who they are also considering, is their man. Gordon can handle the rock, shoot from downtown, and knows how to distribute unselfishly. The Sonics need a point guard, and a home, desperately, but it looks like they will get their guard first with Gordon, then worry about a gym where he can play. Durant needs someone to get him the ball and compliment his skills, Gordon can do that.

5. Memphis--Brook Lopez, C, Stanford. Age: 20. Class: Sophomore. Height: 7'0. Weight: 260.

--Lopez averaged 19.3 points and 8.18 rebounds per game for the Cardinals in his sophomore campaign, and although the seven-footer may need to get stronger competing against the likes of Shaq, Tim Duncan and Marcus Camby in the Western Conference, he is a perfect fit for the first full year minus Pau Gasol for the Grizz. Lopez has a soft touch down on the box, plays staunch defense, and has a variety of post-moves that should make him a contributor off the bat for the young Grizzlies.

6. New York Knicks--Danilo Gallinari, C, Italy. Age: 19. Height: 6'8. Weight: 210.

--Gallinari is a straight potential pick for the hapless New York Knicks, but with his skill set and basketball IQ, GM Donnie Walsh could come out smelling like a rose in the manure pile called the Knicks front office. Gallinari averaged 17.5 points per game for Armani Jeans Milano last season and can shoot well from mid-range. I guess the Knicks can't get any worse, but hopefully Gallinari will make them better.

(Armani Jeans Milano? Where do they come up with these names? Why not just call them the Hugo Boss Windbreakers or the American Eagle Miniskirts?)

7. Los Angeles Clippers--Jerryd Bayless, PG, Arizona. Age: 19. Class: Freshman. Height: 6'3. Weight: 200.

--Bayless is the type of kid you want your daughter going to prom with. He's a great locker room presence with a fantastic attitude and the work ethic to boot. Averaging, 19.7 points per game last season for the 'Cats, Bayless can score in many different ways, which is something the Clippers most definitely need. He can also play defense and will give you heart and intensity night in and night out. Great pick for the Clips.

8. Milwaukee Bucks--Russell Westbrook, PG, UCLA. Age: 19. Class: Sophomore. Height: 6'3. Weight: 187.

--The Bucks need an effective point guard to offset Michael Redd, and they got their man with Westbrook. The 6'3 sophomore averaged just over four assists and almost two steals per game for the Westwood Warriors this past year and is one of the most unselfish players in the draft. He can attack at the rim and has great leaping ability. His quickness may be his best attribute, and his large wingspan helps him lock down even the fastest point guards in the league. Westbrook is a great addition to the Bucks, but they need all the help they can get.

9. Charlotte Bobcats--Kevin Love, PF, UCLA. Age: 19. Class: Freshman. Height: 6'10. Weight: 255.

--After his start last year, Kevin Love looked like the consensus number one pick in this year's draft, but once again the point guards emerged late to bump Love down to the Bobcats, who couldn't be more thrilled than to have the Love machine locking down the front court. Love has excellent upper body strength but could tone up a little. He has soft hands around the basket but can also utlitze the 255 pound frame of his and box you out into next week. His Uncle Mike is the lead singer of the Beach Boys and what could be a better fit than to play your first three seasons, because that's all he stays around for, under new Bobcats head coach Larry Brown.

10. New Jersey Nets--Joe Alexander, SF, WVU. Age: 21. Class: Junior. Height: 6'8. Weight: 230.

--Alexander could be one of the biggest small forwards in the NBA at 6-foot-8, 230 pounds, but despite his size, his shooting touch is that of a guards. Alexander will create mismatches on both offense and defense because of his athleticism and ability to play defense. With the rumored deal of Richard Jefferson, Alexander fits in as a nice replacement.

11. Indiana Pacers--Kosta Koufos, C, Ohio State. Age: 19. Class: Freshman. Height: 7'1. Weight: 265.

--A slight reach at 11, but after the Jermaine O'Neal-for-T.J. Ford deal between the Pacers and Raptors, the Pacers need a solid man in the middle. Although the Bird man could trade down to get Koufos later or even Roy Hibbert from Georgetown, MY Mock draft doesn't figure in possible trades. Koufos is extremely raw, but can post up and take you to the basket, or knock down the mid-range jumper. He has a decent basketball IQ, but does need to tone up his 265 pound frame to become a more athletic center.

12. Sacremento Kings--D.J. Augustin, PG, Texas. Age: 20. Class: Sophomore. Height: 6'0. Weight: 180.

--Ever since Gollum, a.k.a. Mike Bibby was traded to the Hawks at the deadline last season, the Kings have needed a point guard, and are more than thrilled to have this one fall in their lap. Augustin is a fantastic and confident leader at the point, and has amazing ball handling skills along with a great shot off the dribble. His defense needs to be improved, but the Kings may have found their point guard for years to come.

13. Portland Trail Blazers--Anthony Randolph, PF, LSU. Age: 18. Class: Freshman. Height: 6'10. Weight: 197.

--POTENTIAL, POTENTIAL, POTENTIAL!!!! The Blazers are loaded with young talent, and with Randolph they will add just a little bit more. He has already shown a great skill set flying above the rim and staying grounder on the low post, but he has slipped in a draft filled with established one year players because of his inexperience. Could turn out to be a Jermaine O'Neal type player, but could also turn out to be Kwame Brown 2.0.

14. Golden State Warriors--DeAndre Jordan, C, Texas A&M. Age: 19. Class: Freshman. Height: 7'0. Weight: 260.

--Without question, Jordan is a big man, an Amare Stoudamire type if you will, he can post up and slash to the hoop. Like Stoudamire, Jordan will need work, but he runs the floor like a seasoned veteran, it's just the rest of his game that needs work. Could be a great fit for the run and gun Warriors.

15. Phoenix Suns--Brandon Rush, G, Kansas. Age: 22. Class: Junior. Height: 6'7. Weight: 205.

--The catalyst for the National Champion Kansas Jayhawks, Rush is a great fit for the aging Phoenix Suns. He can step in and play both the two guard and small forward, hit clutch shots and keep the Suns vets happy with his unselfish play. Great pick.

(OK, OK Halfway through, time to grab the Gatorade)

16. Philadelphia 76ers--Donte' Greene, SF, Syracuse. Age: 20. Class: Freshman. Height: 6-9. Weight: 221.

--The Sixers need scoring, and from the three spot, Greene is their man. Greene is a physical rebounder as well as a great shotblocker, averaging 7.2 rebounds and 1.6 blocked shots a game in his lone season for the Orangemen. He has a pretty decent outside touch and is one of the most athletic players in the draft.

17. Indiana Pacers (from Toronto)--Mario Chalmers, G, Kansas. Age: 22. Class: Junior. Height: 6'2. Weight: 170.

--After the trade for the oft-injured T.J. Ford, Pacers coach Jim O'Brien needs a backup plan and Chalmers is his guy. The junior can play both the point and shooting guard positions, and has a knack for hitting big shots, case-in-point, the three pointer with 2.1 seconds left in regulation in the National Championship game against the Memphis Tigers that forced overtime, helping lead the Jayhawks to the title. Chalmers needs to improve his off-the-ball defense, but with injury-prone Ford and the incumbent Jamaal Tinsley, who can't stay in the lineup due to a constant case of the munchies, Chalmers could see action right away.

(Man, I lost so much money on that three pointer)

18. Washington Wizards--Darrell Arthur, PF, Kansas. Age: 20. Class: Sophomore. Height: 6'9. Weight: 216.

--With the possibility of Antawn Jamison gone to free agency, the Wizards need a physical yet soft shooting power forward, and basically keep Jamison by drafting Arthur. The 6'9 forward can score all over the floor and can run the floor like Jamison. Not a bad pick for the Wiz.

19. Cleveland Cavaliers--Robin Lopez, C, Stanford. Age: 20. Class: Sophomore. Height: 7'0. Weight: 245.

--I would become a life-long Cavaliers fan if they took Lopez, simply due to the fact of the promotional Anderson Varejo and Robin Lopez afro wig nights at the Q. Lopez basically has the same skills has Varejo, but is taller and may have a better attitude. But sadly, many don't expect Varejo to be with the Cavs much longer, so trade one crazy, curly haired big man for another, Lopez is a good fit.

(I wish I could grow a curly afro.:(.....)

20. Charlotte Bobcats--Roy Hibbert, C, Georgetown. Age: 21. Class: Senior. Height: 7'2. Weight: 275

--Finally a senior gets taken, and although it's probably 19 spots lower than he may have been taken in the 2007 draft, Hibbert goes to the Bobcats. The former Hoya will allow Brown to move underachieving Emeka Okafor back to his normal power forward position, that could give the Bobcats a nice 1-2 punch at the 4-5 spot. Hibbert needs to drop some weight, but if he can keep his physicality while shedding some pounds, he could surprise some people.

(BREAKING NEWS: At 3:21 p.m. as reported by Marc Stein of ESPN.com, the Nets have agreed to trade small forward Richard Jefferson to the Bucks for forward Yi Jianlian, the Bucks first round pick in 2007, and Bobby Simmons.)

21. New Jersey Nets (from Dallas)--Ryan Anderson, PF, Cal. Age: 20. Class: Sophomore. Height: 6'10. Weight: 225.

--First they went small forward, now the Brooklyn errrr....New Jersey Nets go power with the selection of the soft touched Anderson. His shooting ability will help spread the offense for Devin Harris much like the athletic big men did for him in Dallas, and hopefully bring more of a stability back to Harris's game.

22. Orlando Magic--Jason Thompson, PF, Rider. Age: 21. Class: Senior. Height: 6'11. Weight 250.

--Thompson very well could be the most talked about prospect in this draft. He could've gone to a much bigger school after two years at little known Rider University, but stayed due to his undying love for his school and his teammate. Thompson bring youth to an again power forward position in Orlando, and in time, he and All-Star Dwight Howard could become the biggest and baddest front court duo the NBA has seen in years. Always nice to see the underdogs get their due.

23. Utah Jazz--Mareese Speights, C, Florida. Age: 19. Class: Sophomore. Height: 6'10. Weight: 245.

--Could've possibly been a lottery pick with another year, but Speights is a physical rebounder that will provide depth to an already great Jazz bench. Has alot of raw talent that needs to be cultivated, but with time could be a strong center in the league.

24. Seattle Sonics (from Phoenix)--Alexis Ajinca, C, France. Age: 20. Height: 7'1. Weight: 240.

--Tremondous upside for a young team that does have tremendous upside. Ajinca has been wowing scouts in some workouts, but needs seasoning. Possibly another season in France wouldn't hurt, but the bright lights of the NBA come calling and with patience, could be very good for the true seven-footer.

25. Houston Rockets--Ante Tomic, C, Croatia. Age: 21. Height: 7'2. Weight: 237.

--Another international big man for the Rockets, and due to the broken foot of Yao Ming and the undetermined status of the injury and the lingering after affects, Tomic is a good pick here. A physical, post presence that can hit shots around the basket. May spend another year in Croatia.

26. San Antonio Spurs--Nicolas Batum, SF, France. Age: 19. Weight: 210.

--Now Tony Parker has someone to talk to with the Spurs addition of Batum. The 19 year old will benefit greatly from having a fellow countrymen to learn from, and while the Spurs are getting older, Batum will bring his youth and exuberance to one of the most boring teams to watch in the association.

(Wonder how long it takes for Eva to get mixed up between Parker and Batum, could be an awkward moment)

27. Portland Trail Blazers--JaVale McGee, PF, Nevada. Age: 20. Class: Sophomore. Height: 7'0. Weight: 241.

--The Blazers go big men twice in this draft with the earlier selection of Randolph, with the pick of McGee here at 21. Another potential player, who has raw shooting skills, but averaged 7.3 rebounds for Nevada last season. Needs to bulk up or won't be effective at all.

28. Memphis Grizzlies--J.J. Hickson, PF, N.C. State. Age: 10. Class: Freshman. Height: 6'9. Weight: 240.

--The Grizzlies aren't going anywhere anytime soon, and have plenty of time to try and develop the 6'9 Hickson. Almost has a Stromile Swift/Hakim Warrick look, but is alot stronger on the block than both players. Could be a great value pick here at 28.

29. Detroit Pistons--Chris Douglas-Roberts, SF, Memphis. Class: Junior. Height: 6'6. Weight: 195.

--He's a D-Town native, and a great fit for the aging Detroit Pistons. Roberts is a pure shooter from anywhere other than the foul line in big games, and with the possible overhaul of the Pistons roster, Roberts could fit in for the Bad Boys just like Rodney Stuckey did in the playoffs. Good fit for both parties.

30. Boston Celtics--Courtney Lee, SG, Western Kentucky. Class: Senior. Height: 6'5. Weight: 205.

--The Celts pretty much already have what they need, the Big Three, a great bench and role players, and an NBA Championship. But Lee would be a great student to develop with Jesus Shuttlesworth as the teacher. Lee averaged 20.4 points per game this in his college career swan-song, and shot almost 40% from downtown. Good selection here for the champs.

(Phew, forget the Gatorade, where's the Coors Light?)
